The Cleveland Sunday Markets are a highlight of my week. I love the happy vibe with people enjoying their Sunday doing some retail therapy 🛍 Meander down Bloomfield street in Cleveland, Brisbane South-East – close to bus and train stops with something for everyone.
The market features food stalls including the famous Transylvanian Cheese Pies stall which also sells poffertjies (tiny dutch style pancakes), the most tender calamari, langos and their own traditional homemade lemonade. Everything is delicious and they are very very popular for a reason.
The stallholders are so friendly. 😃
I love tasting Mikey’s Awesome Biltong – he is constantly adding new flavours that blow my mind and my tastebuds! 😋
One of the highlights of the markets is the fresh produce stalls. There are several greengrocers who sell fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs at competitive prices. We love to visit the organic fruit and vegetable stall by Lunar Farm Organics. Their fresh produce is of great quality and price which is competitive with the non-organic stalls.
The market also features all manner of handcrafted items including clothing, bags and my favourite, Ian’s stall next to the Westpac bank in Bloomfield is a highlight of my weekend. His knitting skills are legendary. I love buying his handmade dolls, beanies, booties and other knitted items. 🧶 I have bought pastel rainbow booties and beanies from him and a custom made doll for my granddaughter and second cousin.
There is something for everyone and such an enjoyable way to spend a Sunday 🌞
